Our trip to Radium was beautiful, warm and fun! It was really nice to get away for the weekend, play some golf, wander around and visit the hot springs.
If you ever get a chance to come to Western Canada, Radium Hot Springs is a nice place to visit. Even the drive from Calgary to Radium is beautiful.
The Continental Divide
Last year’s forest fire
Red Rocks by the Hot Springs
The Hot Springs themselves – the river runs right underneath the complex!
Inukshuks in Invermere
House of Faces.
We had the chance to go golfing – twice! Mr. Bean had never really played before and I haven’t played in a while, so it was a bit of a gong show.
The second time we rented a cart and it was entertaining to zip around in it.
Since it was Mr. Bean’s birthday, he finished off our second game of golf with pie!
The ink pots are springs that spew iron oxide and hydroxide.
That’s why it’s such a lovely colour of red/orange because it’s basically rust.
It was used by Native Americans as dye and at the turn of the century as paint pigment.
