I’m going to put this on the record: compared to buttercream made with shortening, I love, love, love royal icing. Who would have thought that water solubility would be so important?
Anyways, today’s class used royal icing and colour flow icing to make flowers and shapes respectively. It was fun, albeit a bit messy. Here is the outcome of today’s class: violets, apple blossoms, violet leaves and colour flow birds.
Our next class isn’t for two weeks because of Victoria day, so the next of this series will commence then!
You are quite crafty Miss Bean!
That looks like a lot of fun. It’s interesting how much just a bit of water can affect things. Though I’m just coming from an acrylic cycle and you really don’t want to eat that.
They’re looking good!
